Q: Who is 1LINK owned and regulated by?
A: 1LINK is owned by consortium of 11 banks. It was incorporated with Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) as a Guarantee Limited Company on September 20, 2004 and is regulated under State Bank of Pakistan. 1LINK was converted to Private Limited Company under section 49 of Companies Act 2017 on July 5, 2018.
Q: How can I get a PayPak branded card?
A: As of today, 29 members are ready to issue PayPak cards. You can get your PayPak branded card from our members.
Q: Do I need to replace my current cards with PayPak branded ones?
A: You can ask your bank to issue you a brand-new card with logo of PayPak as the scheme or replace your current card with a PayPak branded one, depending on your preference. You can contact your bank for detailed information.
Q: Can I use my PayPak branded card in e-commerce transactions?
A: No, currently PayPak card can only be used on ATMs and POS machines. 1LINK is working towards enablement of e-commerce transactions.
Q: Is there a fee for PayPak branded cards?
A: PayPak cards are issued through our members. As such, it is our members who determine whether to charge fees for PayPak branded cards based on their own rules. Hence, the fees might vary.
Q: Who should I call if I face any problem with my PayPak branded card?
A: You can call and report your problem to the bank that issued your card.
Q: What should I do if my PayPak card is lost or stolen?
A: You can call and report your lost/stolen card to the bank that issued your card.
Q: I am a merchant. What should I do to have PayPak branded cards accepted at my shop?
A: 1LINK member banks provide the necessary infrastructure for merchants to have PayPak branded cards accepted at their shops. You can contact your POS issuer bank, should you have any problem.
Q: I have an e-commerce site and want to get a virtual-POS. Can I get it from PayPak?
A: PayPak is a payments scheme and does not offer virtual POS to merchants. You can contact your bank or their business partners that provide virtual POS.
Q: In which countries can I use my PayPak card?
A: PayPak is a domestic payment scheme. To avail international transaction option, you can contact your bank and request PayPak co-badged cards.
